Unearthed Films is
proud to announce that we're expanding into new territory with our
company. We're actively acquiring product for our new animation section,
RED BLOOD CEL. You already know our tastes in films so expect the
line up to be truly phenomenal. We're presently negotiating the
acquisition of some of the best animated films ever made. I'd love to
tell you what they are but they will form the starting point for a line
up that will truly rock the house. Stay tuned.

Unearthed Films has acquired the rights to MEN BEHIND THE SUN #2
BLACK SUN THE NANKING MASSACRE
Unearthed Films has talked with Hong Kong director T.F. Mou about his
film: Black Sun: The Nanking Massacre. Mr. Mou has told us Black Sun is
actually Men Behind the Sun #2. The correct sequel to Men Behind the Sun.
Most people think Laboratory of the Devil and Narrow Escape are the 2nd
and 3rd sequels in the series but Mr. Mou has corrected the confusion and
misrepresentations concerning these films. Laboratory and Narrow Escape
were made by a HK Film company to capitalize on the success of his 1st
movie. Mr. Mou's sequel is heralded by critics as superior to Men Behind
the Sun and we are thrilled to be able to give the film it's 1st real
release in the world. We will be working very close with Mr. Mou to help
this release receive all that it deserves. There will be extras galore
since we are gathering everything we can from around the world to be added
to this DVD. We intend to give the film the DVD release it deserves. It's
not just a film but a historical document, seen through the eyes of a
child who survived the Nanking Massacre. Black Sun the Nanking Massacre
has created controversy whenever it has been shown at film festivals
worldwide and it has never received the recognition it deserves. We hope
to change that. We do not have an exact release date yet but if all goes
well the telecine work, Men Behind the Sun #2 Black Sun the Nanking
Massacre will be available early summer of 2003.
FLOWER OF FLESH AND BLOOD / MAKING OF GUINEA
PIG DOUBLE FEATURE
Check out the limited graphic cover for the
Flower of Flesh and Blood. Rather nasty isn't it? We have only 666 copies
of this cover because we wanted to give our independent retailers
something special to sell on their online stores. We do have plenty in
stock so if you would like one, go to the order form and place an order
for the Flower of Flesh and Blood Graphic Cover. Personally I prefer the
painted cover but what do I know? We wanted to give our customers a
collectible and also, to help the smaller independent DVD shops on the
web. We understand how hard it is to compete with the big guys and we feel
giving the independent retailers a DVD that is only available through
them. It would help them in these trying times, so please remember.
Support independent business's, because they are the backbone that makes
our world so great.
Unearthed Films is testing the North American market right now with the
Guinea Pig Films. Were finding out how many true gore hounds are out
there. Sales of the Guinea Pig Films will help us to gauge how rough the
horror fans actually want it and if the DVD market can actually handle it.
Oh yes, were working on acquiring bigger budget horror, cult, anime and
intense action films, but we also have a bead on some truly nauseating
underground gore films.
Our thanks go out to John Himmelstein. John has done a wonderful job with
the artwork for the Guinea Pig Series. You can see more of Johns artwork
in Verotika #6. Glenn Danzig's own personal comic book company. Yes, I do
know their out of business but when they were up and running. They had
balls to do what they did and I was very sad when I heard they closed
their doors.

The Flower of Flesh and Blood/Making of Guinea
Pig Double Feature will be delayed by one month and should be released on
November 26.
Choose between two covers, the gore version and an original painting. Also
to be included in the DVD will be the original manga artwork called "Akai
Hana" The original 24 page manga where the idea for the Flower of Flesh
and Blood came from. Plus some interviews and another Flower trailer.
We do apologize for the delay of our 3rd DVD. I always wondered why DVD
companies where late here and there and well, now I know. It's because
when you want to release the best possible disc. Sometimes it's better to
wait.

The 2nd Guinea Pig DVD is out and it is meeting with great success. The
Mermaid in a Manhole / He Never Dies Double Feature will be available
throughout the United States. We have just been picked up by all of the
national video distributor chains and many of the major retailers in the
US and in Canada. So all of our DVD's will be available to everybody who
wants them. It's wonderful news for us and hopefully for you. We really
want to make a difference in the film industry and with your help we can.
Spread the word, rattle the chains and shout from the rooftops. There's a
new company in town that wants to release what you really want to see.
We're not called Unearthed Films for nothing. LOL

TENTATIVE
Unearthed Films is not just stopping there. We have just picked up the
rights to the infamous Evil Dead Trap 2. The horrendous sequel to the now
famous Japanese gore thriller, Evil Dead Trap. Whoa, this film took me by
surprise when I saw it many years ago. It's a sequel in the rare sense of
the word: filled with gore, stylized camera shots and creepy lighting.
Evil Dead Trap 2 should satisfy gore-hounds everywhere. We also just
picked up the rights to Junk, a Japanese zombie flick with more than bite
- it has guts. Junk pays its respect to all of the infamous zombie movies
ever made. All of us have been waiting for a zombie film that wouldn't let
us down and JUNK is it. We're waiting on extra materials from our friends
in Japan so hopefully we can get our hands on a lot of extras for this DVD
release. No release dates are set yet for either Junk or Evil Dead Trap 2.
